The Department of Sociology at National Chengchi University (NCCU) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We seek dedicated scholars whose work demonstrates excellence in research, teaching, and academic service. We especially welcome applicants with expertise in quantitative research. The expected start sate of the appointment is February 1, 2027. A Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field must be held by the time of appointment. A strong command of both oral and written Mandarin and English is required. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to teach in English.

1.Application Form: Download from the NCCU Sociology website.
2.Curriculum Vitae.
3.Representative Publications: Up to five major publications (including
dissertations) published within the last five years.
4.Sample Syllabi: Four course syllabi, including at least one taught in Chinese, one
in English, and at least one quantitative course.
5.Doctoral Credentials: Photocopy of the Ph.D. certificate. Note: Candidates
expecting their degree must provide a formal letter from their supervisor or
department confirming they will receive the Ph.D. by December 31, 2026.
6. Academic Transcript: Ph.D. transcript (required for applicants without full-time
teaching experience).
7. Ph.D. Dissertation: (required for applicants without full-time teaching
experience).
8. Teacher’s Certificate: Photocopy of the certificate issued by the Ministry of
Education, R.O.C. (if available). Important Note: Foreign academic credentials and
related certifications must be authenticated by the relevant Embassies or Missions of
the Republic of China (Taiwan).
